Rafting on Ayung River

• The Ayung River is the longest river in Bali, stretching approximately 75 km from the northern mountains down to the southern part of the island. It is best known as Bali’s most popular white water rafting destination, especially near the town of Ubud.

As the number of international and domestic tourists increased, rafting on the Ayung River became a favorite activity due to:

• Class II–III rapids (suitable for beginners)

• Beautiful tropical scenery

• River cliffs decorated with artistic stone carvings

• Easy access from Ubud and other tourist areas

From the late 1990s through the 2000s, more rafting operators emerged, offering improved facilities such as insurance coverage, certified guides, and enhanced safety standards.

ATV Adventure
