Taman Ayun is a royal Hindu temple and garden complex located in the village of Mengwi in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The temple, whose name means “beautiful garden,” was built in the 17th century by the ruling King of Mengwi, Tjokerda Sakti Blambangan, in 1634. It served as the main temple for the Mengwi kingdom and is a significant part of Bali’s religious and cultural heritage.
